Website Know How

SitesToGo InternetLAB have kindly given us some guidelines:

  1. Be suspicious of any hard copy invoice relating to domain names; most reputable domain name registrars never send invoices by mail.

  2. Never respond directly to an email that requests you to renew domains. If you know where the domains are registered, type the registrar's URL
directly into your browser and communicate directly with them through the email address, forms or login on the site.

Writing a Press Release - some tips given by Lorraine Whelan of Axis Communications Limited

  • What do you want to say? Summarise it in one short statement before you start to expand or develop your ideas.
  • Try to create an active headline... it can often give the journalist his/her headline.
  • Shorter is better when writing for the media. The release should be no more than one page long.
  • Answer the five 'W's in the first paragraph - who, what, when, where and why?
