Primary School Level - Most Enterprising Student
The Offaly Most Enterprising Student Programme is designed to promote the concept of business enterprise to students at national school level.
All primary schools in the county can nominate a student who has displayed entrepreneurial talent throughout the year. Examples of businesses set up include breeding and selling canaries, lawn maintenance, selling eggs, making bird tables and providing farm relief services. In addition other students have been nominated for their sporting or creative skills, some displaying enterprising qualities such as courage, determination and adaptability to overcome challenges in their lives.
Each nominated student is presented with a prize pack and framed certificate. There is also a special draw for the schools, where one lucky school will win an interactive SMART whiteboard worth over €4,000.
