Once you’ve decided that you want to be your own boss, we would recommend that your next step should be a Start Your Own Business Course.

Our course covers all the basic areas that you will need to be familiar with in order to get your business off to the correct start. The course runs one night per week over 6 weeks (or over 3 full days).

On completion participants will know how to write a business plan, have learned about the legal structures available to set up a company, identified what market research is about, and learned about pricing your product and budgeting for your overheads.

The Start Your Own Business Programme runs at three different venues throughout the county – Birr, Rhode and Tullamore.

The dates for Autumn 2011 are as follows:

Tullamore: 22 Aug - 5 Sep (3 days)

Tullamore: 22 Sep - 27 Oct (6 evenings)

Birr: 18 Oct - 22 Nov (6 evenings)

Rhode: 2 Nov - 7 Dec (6 evenings)

Fee only €70 or Free of Charge to Social Welfare Payment Recipients
